For its fourth edition, the Saudi Tour is getting a facelift and has chosen the historical and geological treasure of AlUla as its new name.
From 30 January to February 3, 2024, the riders of the international peloton will take on the task of giving the AlUla Tour its first badge of honour.

At the heart of the Hijaz region, in the north-west of Saudi Arabia, AlUla owes its fame to its thousand-year-old history. A commercial crossroads in ancient times, this region is a true open-air museum, with landscapes combining desert and moonscapes, oasis and fertile land.

In terms of sport, this fourth edition of the race promises to be just as challenging and complete as its predecessors: sprinters, punchers, climbers... All profiles will find something to suit them in this race which, for many of the greatest international riders, marks the beginning of their season before their European objectives. While we wait to discover the full route in a little while, it is already clear that despite its new name, the AlUla Tour will meet some of its most emblematic places.

This change of identity is also accompanied by a new logo, which takes up the historic colours of the event, gold and green, a combination that evokes the geological diversity of the region. The fine lines of this new design recall what makes this event so special: the A and T of the AlUla Tour, and the cyclist imagined in full effort, giving the whole a dynamic spirit and a feeling of speed that also corresponds to Saudi Arabia's ambition for the AlUla site.

Mai Al Helabi, General Manager of Sports Events, Minsitry of Sports, Saudi: Arabia: “The AlUla Tour has emerged as a major local, regional and international event in recent years. We look forward to welcoming the sport’s best cyclists in one of the sport’s most unique locations; showcased to the world. The AlUla Tour, alongside our global cycling partners, are creating a legacy in this country with more and more people getting access to a sustainable sport that is inspiring people to move, be active and healthy.”

Phillip Jones, Royal Commission for AlUla chief tourism officer:
“The new AlUla Tour promises to take cycling to another level this year. Welcoming the sport’s elite talent and teams on the UCI Asian Tour across five challenging stages showcases the best of AlUla as a sporting destination. We are just about to open our brand new 45k bike track for road cyclists which is set to be one of most stunning dedicated cycling routes in the world. We really believe AlUla has the potential to become the cycling capital of Saudi Arabia as we create more opportunities for people to watch, be inspired and ride with one the country’s fastest growing sports.”

Yann Le Moënner, General Manager of A.S.O.:
"The AlUla Tour will take the riders not only through one of the most majestic sites in the world, where they will encounter an extraordinary archaeological heritage, but also through the millennia of history of this crossroads of civilisations. The region also has what it takes to organise a world-class race, and its demanding route, punctuated by difficult climbs, promises a spectacular race, both from a sporting and a visual point of view.”
